Maggie Grace probably likes Luc Besson a lot — he produced Taken, in which she played the kidnapped daughter of Liam Neeson. She’s already attached to Taken 2 (which may or may not get made) and now she’s set to co-star with Guy Pearce in the Besson-produced space thriller Lockout. Deadline has few details to offer, saying first that Lockout “transports a Taken-like premise to outer space.”

Maggie Grace and Guy Pearce are set to star with Peter Stormare and Tom Hollander in Lock-Out. The film, labeled an action / sci-fi epic, has been set up at Luc Besson’s EuropaCorp production company.

According to The Wrap, the film takes place in a prison that’s orbiting fifty miles above Earth and houses five hundred of the world’s most dangerous prisoners who are kept asleep by sophisticated methods until they suddenly awaken, causing mayhem.

Lock-Out will be directed by Stephen St. Leger and James Mather, who co-wrote the script alongside Luc Besson.

Production on Lock-Out is expected to start towards the end of August in Belgrade.

The pics they used in the magazine are completely different from the ones I previously posted and she looks great – so natural and pretty.

In other news, a DVD release date has been announced for The Experiment. It will be available on both DVD and BluRay on September 21st (Maggie’s birthday!) and you can view the trailer here. I’ll post screencaps from the trailer as soon as I track down an HD version of it.
